A re-design for the branding of Museum of Fire. This museum provides a world-class facility for the study of the uses, control and history of fire and the preservation of the heritage of firefighting. It is not for profit and the charitable organisation. They are dedicated to the acquisition, conservation, research and communication of fire, fire fighting and fire prevention exhibits for the purpose of study, education and enjoyment.
The old logo incorporated the fire behaviour mark and the shape of the triangle. The new identity was built around the idea of representing the fire in such a way that it would be easier to recognise. Traditionally in the Five Elements and in Alchemy, the triangle is the symbol for fire. The pattern inside of the triangle represents flames, which are controlled by the shape that contains them. The font has is hand lettering created to reference flickering flames and give a sense of history.
