The brief was to ‘construct’ the front cover of a book/CD/film of our choice using the the themes of the piece to drive the design direction.
The concept for the design is based on the main character’s life – the sacrifice and fighting behind the crown. Blood and hardness were brought about by the desire of power. The design element includes a golden crown crafted with golden aluminium foil, using aluminium wire as the skeleton to support its shape. Liquid made from cream and milk was dyed red to represent blood flowing off the crown and dripping down.
